Returning to sport takes more than simply getting rid of pain. NPPT’s Return to Sport program is designed to help athletes and active individuals rebuild strength, improve control, and prepare for the demands of practice and competition. Whether you are coming back from surgery, recovering from an injury, or working through a longer rehabilitation process, our team uses sport-specific progression to help you move with greater confidence and reduce the risk of getting hurt again.
Return to Sport rehabilitation is built around the movements and physical demands of the activity you want to resume. Treatment may include strength progression, balance work, jumping and landing mechanics, agility drills, coordination training, and sport-specific movement patterns.
NPPT tailors each plan to the athlete, the injury, and the sport itself. A volleyball player, runner, wrestler, and football athlete will not all need the same progression, so treatment is designed around the demands that matter most.
This program can benefit athletes at many levels, from student athletes to recreational competitors and active adults. It is especially useful for individuals coming back from ligament injuries, muscle strains, fractures, tendon injuries, surgery, or repeated overuse problems.
It may also be appropriate for athletes who feel better but still do not trust the injured area during cutting, jumping, sprinting, landing, or quick changes in direction. In those cases, additional progression can make a meaningful difference before full return.
